The demolition of Curva Sud Morosini of Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo started Thursday the 8th of June.

On the square facing the Curva Sud Morosini, Despe – the firm operating in the industry of special demolitions – has deployed a CAT 6015 Jumbo Demolition, one of the biggest demolition excavators ever built in the world, to tear down the stands.

The CAT 6015 Jumbo Demolition, which will be used for the first time in Bergamo, incorporates a mix of technology and advanced hydraulics that enables it to carry out large-scale projects with extreme precision despite its incredible size.

Before the demolition of the Curva Sud Morosini the press room of the Gewiss Stadium hosted the institutional gathering attended by, respectively: Atalanta’s President Antonio Percassi, Atalanta’s Ceo Luca Percassi, FIGC Secretary-General Marco Brunelli, the Ceo of Lega Serie A, Luigi De Siervo and Francesco Valesini, representing the Municipality of Bergamo.

Atalanta's President, Antonio Percassi, kick-started the ceremony on the 8th of June and the demolition has been already completed.
