DEMOLITION HUB

The National Federation of Demolition Contractors is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Ellison as Marketing Projects Manager and the upcoming appointment of Debbie Davis as Office Manager.

These two appointments have been made to help enable delivery of the Federation’s five-year strategic plan, announced in September 2020. The plan is built around five key areas of focus and improvement: Raising Standards, Raising the Profile, Membership Satisfaction, Strategic Relationships and Industry Leadership.

Alex Ellison, in the newly-created role of Marketing Projects Manager, is specifically tasked with modernising the Federation’s operations through systems-based projects, starting with a Member Management/CRM system, a new Federation website, and an upgraded e-communications platform. These systems will improve internal efficiencies as well as engaging the NFDC’s membership, associates and those looking to find accredited demolition contractors. They will also cement the NFDC’s status as a centre-point for key industry information and best practices.

Debbie Davis will join NFDC on 16th August as Office Manager, carrying out a wide scope of operations, administration and HR duties at the Federation’s Hemel Hempstead headquarters, enabling Group Company Secretary, Lesley Ransome, to focus her time on providing members with a high-quality experience at every touchpoint across NFDC and NDTG.

These new appointments, backed by NFDC’s National Council, comprising Regional Chairmen, HLVPs and the current Presidential representatives from the UK-wide Federation membership, are just one of the steps being implemented to directly affect continuous improvement at NFDC.

The Federation now employs 3 full-time NFDC dedicated members of staff, alongside 2 part-time NFDC employees and 5 additional full-time staff members who work equally between NFDC and NDTG.

The NFDC recognises its milestone 80-year anniversary since foundation this year and is indisputably known for its rich history and the significant impact it has made on the demolition industry to date.  The Federation and its key players, however, are not resting on their laurels. NFDC is committed to a future-thinking mindset, executing on strategy and ultimately ensuring the sustainability and worth of the Federation for the membership and demolition industry overall.

William Crooks, President, NFDC commented; “The NFDC community wishes a warm welcome to Alex and Debbie. The Federation has ambitious plans and expanding the core team now will ensure the timely and successful delivery of key initiatives that benefit members and the demolition industry.”
